Terms of Use
By downloading or using Rize: Alarm Challenge ("Rize", the "app") you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If anything here conflicts with Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA applies.
What Rize is
Rize is an alarm app that asks you to complete a wake-up challenge (for example photographing grass or the sky, making and photographing your bed, doing push-ups, solving math problems, or scanning an object) before an alarm can be dismissed. An Apple account sign-in is required to use the app. An active Rize Pro subscription is also required.
Important: alarm reliability
Alarms depend on your device: it must be powered on, not in a mode that silences alarms, and the app must have alarm permission. Software, hardware, or system conditions outside our control can prevent an alarm from ringing. Do not rely on Rize as your only alarm for critical situations (flights, exams, medication, work shifts). Use a backup where missing a wake-up would cause harm or loss.
Rize Pro subscription
- Rize Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, available monthly or yearly. Both plans include the complete app: all six wake-up challenges, unlimited alarms, all difficulty levels, streaks and Insights, optional Apple Health Sleep Analytics and private coaching, and daily alarm reminders. There is no separate free tier.
- The yearly plan offers a one-week free trial for eligible new subscribers; the monthly plan has no free trial. Availability and eligibility are shown in the app before purchase. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Without an active subscription, access to the app is blocked and alarms are turned off. After subscribing again, turn your alarms back on in the Alarms tab.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel anytime on your device: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
Acceptable use
You may use Rize only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable law. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or interfere with the app or its services.
Health notice
The push-up challenge involves physical exercise. Participate only if you are physically able; stop if you feel pain or discomfort. Rize provides no medical advice. Sleep scores, trends, and coaching are estimates for general wellness and must not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent a medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about your sleep or health.
Disclaimer and liability
Rize is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including damages resulting from a missed alarm. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always available at this address. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
